DETAILS

Two zip pockets keep what matters secure and two open pockets keep essentials within reach, while the merino liner naturally regulates temperature and resists odor.

Built with a 100% GOTS Organic cotton shell and a ridiculously comfortable 100% Australian merino wool liner. Finished with stainless-steel drawcord aglets, a woven VORSØ tag at the pocket, and the embroidered SKARV logo at the lower left leg.

MATERIALS & CARE

Outer: 100% organic cotton, GOTS certified, in a 180gsm interlock. A dense, structured knit that holds its shape and resists the pilling and stretch synthetic shorts develop within months.

Liner: 100% Australian merino wool, in a breathable 175gsm. At an ultra-fine 17.5 microns, each fibre is roughly four times finer than a human hair, and soft enough to live against the skin all day. It moves moisture without holding it, regulates in heat and cold alike, and resists odor through the fibre itself.

Wash cold. Hang dry or lay flat. Never tumble. Cared for properly, it will outlast anything synthetic.

SIZING & FIT

Our 5" Inseam offers a classic Athletic fit while our 7" Inseam sits closer to the knee.

TO MOVE FORWARD, WE MUST LOOK BACK

The Story of VORSØ

The name VORSØ comes from a small island in Denmark our founder traces his family lineage and surname back to, restored to its original spelling lost with time.

Hunted out of Denmark by the 1870s, the cormorant returned and found a home on Vorsø, where it now thrives. Natural fibers were nearly pushed out the same way, replaced by plastic in the clothes we wear every day. What was nearly lost can be restored, and that's what we set out to do.

We use natural fibers like Organic Cotton & Merino Wool, the same fibers the world’s finest houses are known for. Every one of our styles are 3rd-Party Lab Tested, with the results shown on every product, because what you wear every day should never work against your body.

Decided to make the jump from my typical Nike shorts (after 10+ years of religiously wearing them) to organic fibers this past year. While most shorts i’ve found have been incredibly overpriced and lacking in quality, these have been insanely comfortable and have held up well in my 5/2 training split. Solid stretch and easy wash process as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the problem with Polyester?

Polyester is plastic, and plastic is what most activewear is made of. Synthetic shorts, leggings, and base layers sit against your skin through every workout, soaking up sweat when your pores are open and your body runs hottest.

Because it's plastic, it sheds microplastic particles small enough to be absorbed and to accumulate in the body with every wear and wash. On top of this, it's often processed with endocrine-disrupting chemicals like BPA and PFAS, and a growing body of research has linked these compounds, and synthetic textiles themselves, to hormone disruption and reduced fertility.

We think what you wear every day against your skin shouldn't be plastic. So we don't use it. No polyester, no nylon. Just natural fibers that come from the earth, not a refinery.

What are RWS, GOTS, & OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100?

Three of the most rigorous independent standards in textiles.

GOTS, the Global Organic Textile Standard, means our Organic Cotton is grown and processed without the synthetic pesticides or harsh chemicals common in conventional cotton, held to that standard from field to finished fabric.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 means our fibers and dyes are independently tested and certified free of harmful substances, safe for direct skin contact. Its strictest level, Class I, is the standard applied to products made for infants.

RWS, the Responsible Wool Standard, means our Merino comes from farms certified for animal welfare and responsible land management.

Verified organic, safe, and humane. Not just claimed, but certified at the source.

What dyes do you use?

We use OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified dyes across our products, tested up to Class I, the strictest tier, used for products made for infants.

This means our dyes are tested and certified free of the harmful substances and heavy metals commonly found in conventional apparel.
